We have plans for many fun events that bring friend and families together and help children's cancer all at the same time.  The first such event was our 1st Annual Adult Co-ed Softball Tournament which was on July 4th 2009.  This was a day of fun, friendship and good-hearted sportsmanship.  We celebrated our concession stand's Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting this day as well, so there was much to enjoy in Winnebago on the 4th!!

Briggs & Al’s Run & Walk - 2011

On September 17th, Aiden’s Team will again walk for Milwaukee Children’s Hospital in the 34th Annual Briggs & Al’s Run & Walk. The group is proud to help raise funds for the facility that has saved Aiden’s life time-and-again.

To date, the team’s participation in the event has raised approximately $5,000 for the facility that provides medical care to more than 325,000 patients annually. This Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, with 72 pediatric critical care beds, provides specialized care to critically ill patients of all ages, from newborns to adolescents.

Life is full of unexpected circumstances. Aiden’s family never dreamed life would hand them such an unforeseen and startling situation with their child. Take it from Aiden’s mother, Nicky, when she says “you never know when you may be in need of assistance from Children's Hospital…it is a blessing to have it.”

Please consider supporting Aiden’s Team as they walk in the 34th Annual Briggs & Al’s Run & Walk. Donations can be easily made by visiting Aiden’s personal FirstGiving fundraising page at:

    Briggs & Al’s Run & Walk 2008-2010

Aiden’s family and friends have proudly participated in the annual Briggs & Al’s Run & Walk for Milwaukee Children’s Hospital since Aiden’s treatment at the facility began.  The walk is the oldest run/walk in the state of Wisconsin and one of the largest combined 8K events in the U.S. with approximately 15,000 – 16,000 participants each year.

The walk/run has raised more than $12 million for Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, with all gifts and pledges going directly to help children.  We’re proud to say that Aiden’s personal Briggs & Al’s web page at www.firstgiving.com/aidendoner has raised approximately $5,000 for the hospital since we began participating in 2008.

In 2008, Aiden was one of eleven patients selected as a “Children’s Champion.”   Champions inspire other families who might be going through a difficult time and raise awareness about a disease or important health issue.  Many of these children, and thousands of other children they represent, have faced life-threatening illness. Some of them are still fighting for their lives.

We are proud to be a part of the Briggs & Al’s Run & Walk each year.  We feel honored to be able to give back to a facility that has done so much for so many…a facility that has saved Aiden’s life time-and-again.

Funds raised through the Briggs & Al’s Run & Walk support the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).  Children’s provides highly specialized care to critically ill patients of all ages, from newborns to adolescents.  Children’s Hospital is a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center with 72 pediatric critical care beds.
